TRIP OF A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE!

This was our third trip organised by Man Raj and Bodhi Adventures. After a successful trek to Gokyo last year, we decided to return to Khumbu with our two daughters and complete the EBC trek. Man Raj met us at Kathmandu airport and facilitated the trip of a lifetime. Drivers took us to and from Manthali and Man Raj and his team made sure we had great rooms in all the teahouses. Man Raj’s knowledge of the mountains, the varied geographic and glacial features, as well as the flora, fauna and bird life of the Sagarmatha Park is such an asset and really enriched the whole trek experience. At Tengboche we were lucky enough to sit in on a summiting team’s blessing ceremony and Man Raj’s extensive knowledge about Buddhism was fascinating. Everyday the views got better and better and we were lucky with our weather window. Man Raj helped me reach the summit of Kala Patthar when I thought I hadn’t a drop of energy left. Finally when we returned to Kathmandu he treated us to a great Bikram Sambat meal in a modern and trendy restaurant showing us a totally new side to Nepal! Man Raj made our trip and we hope someday to return to Nepal and explore some more!
