Himlung Expedition is a thrilling and challenging journey to conquer the Himlung Himal peak, which is located in the Nar-Phu region of Nepal. With an altitude of 7,126 meters (23,380 feet), Himlung is one of the popular 7000-meter peaks for climbing expeditions.

The expedition to Himlung starts from Kathmandu, where you will be required to obtain a special trekking permit as the region is a restricted area of Nepal. After obtaining the permit, the journey proceeds towards the remote region of Nar-Phu. The trek to the Base Camp is a remarkable experience that offers stunning views of high peaks, isolated Phu village, narrow gullies, forests, springs, old monasteries, and unique ancient settlements.

The Base Camp is located at an altitude of 4,850 meters above sea level and is the starting point for the ascent towards the summit. Three high camps need to be fixed before reaching the Summit, with Camp I at 5,450 meters, Camp II at 5,800 meters, and Camp III at 6,350 meters. The ascent is a beautiful alpine course that includes mixed climbing of snow, ice, and rock.

The Himlung Expedition requires a high level of fitness and acclimatization to the high-altitude environment. The expedition team will provide necessary guidance and support throughout the journey. Although the climb is not as technically challenging as some other mountains, it still requires experience in high-altitude mountaineering.

The best time to undertake the Himlung Expedition is from October to November when the weather conditions are favorable. Bodhi Adventures team of experienced climbers and support staff will ensure your safety and make your expedition a memorable one.

Apart from the thrill of climbing the mountain, the region's ancient architecture, customs, culture, flora fauna and biological diversity are sure to amaze anyone. The Himlung Expedition is not just about climbing a mountain, but also an opportunity to immerse oneself in the unique culture of Bon and Buddhist along with and landscape of the region.

In conclusion, the Himlung Expedition is a challenging yet rewarding journey that offers an unforgettable experience. With proper planning, guidance, and support, it is an achievable goal for anyone with a passion for mountaineering.
