SUJAN GURUNG Aspirant Mountain Guide
Sujan born in 1996 at Lingam village of Sankhuwasabha District in southern lap of Mt. Makalu (8485m). His school education was begun in the birthplace of Lingam village but the family migrated in Mane Bhanjyang nearby Khadbari (district headquarter) and continued his education in public school until grade 6. He has 2 elder brothers and 1 younger sister. After grade 6 his brothers took him to Kathmandu for further education. His parents live in Mane Bhanjyang. He completed his grade 10 in Mahankal Secondary School, Golphutar, Ktm in 2015. He completed his +2 from Active Academy of Basundhara, Ktm, in management.
He started his tourism career as a porter in 2012 at the age of 16. His first trek was in Langtang region with his brother before completion of his school education. He really enjoyed the trek; he was quite happy to make some money from the trek. He did his Trekking Guide course from Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) in 2017. In 2018 he attempted his first summit of mountain Lobuche (6119m), then Ama Dablam (6812m), then Island Peak (6189m) in the same year. Then after, Sujan is working as a Climbing Guide in different mountains up to Mt. Everest.
Currently he is doing his Aspirant Guide Course. He wants to be IFMGA Mountain Guide by Profession.
